Annelize Venter “Annelize”, started working as a candidate attorney at John Walker attorneys, a law firm specialising in liquidations. She assisted in liquidations such as the liquidation of DRC Diamond Core (Pty) LTD and Aurora Mining.

Annelize ceded her articles to DRSM attorneys in 2011. They specialise mainly in Banking Law. During her time at DRSM she managed the debt review and collection departments. In these departments she handled all new instructions until the finalisation thereof. This included a daily and weekly report to clients, drafting of court papers, meeting deadlines, answering queries and management of the accounting system. 

During March 2012 Annelize started working as an Associate at Edwin Jay Inc. This firm of attorneys specialise in various fields of law with highly qualified expertise in commercial litigation. She was appointed to manage the commercial litigation department. Annelize gained extensive experience in magistrate court’s litigation, both trial and motion procedures.  She also has obtained right of appearance in High Court of South Africa and attended to all high court motions and trials.

In 2014 Annelize joined Muller Voigt Attorneys as a partner.  Annelize has expanded her commercial practice into and among various other facets of the legal profession such as divorces, landlord tenant agreements and disputes, contractual drafting, interpretation of agreements, spoliations, latent defects, goods sold and delivered and third party liabilities. Annelize acted as in in-house counsel by doing all Muller Voigt Attorney’s court appearances, including high and magistrate’s court appearances. 

During her years at Muller Voigt Attorneys she expanded her own department to such an extent that the need arose to establish AJ Venter and Associates Inc. As the name infers, all current employees and attorneys moved over with her to the new firm.
